What can you expect

When you get to the hot spring you will see a small river with large rocks in it. The main source for this river is water boiling up from the earth. This water is heated by volcanic activity and has a slight sulphur smell. On the left a small stream enters the river with cold water. On the location of the hot spring the boiling and cold water mix, creating an awesome natural bath!

When you are in the hot spring you will notice a distinct gradient in temperature in the water. Especially, the gradient between the warm water and hot (boiling) water is very sudden, so be careful.

Besides the hot spring there are many fruit trees. When this fruit is ripe, it will fall off the tree, so watch your head?. The orange fruit is a special treat, as it literally tastes like a super juicy fruit yoghurt. The owner of the land told us about it and showed us how to get them. Take a stick and slab against a few branches and there you go. You can eat the orange fruit without pealing it, but do not try to eat the “bean” on top, as it is very hard.
